Теперь эта отличная IDE поддерживает прекрасный язык Python. Точнее, его реализации CPython, IronPython, Pypy и Jython. Отныне вы можете пользоваться Intellisence, Class Browser, поиском ссылок, рефакторингом, отладчиком, профайлером,… в общем, всем тем, что так привычно пользователям Visual Studio.
И это все совершенно бесплатно (устанавливается в Visual Studio Shell) и Open Source (Apache 2.0).

Adobe Touch Apps are six tools, inspired by the company's flagship Creative Suite. They include image editing, idea-creation, sketching, mood boards, website and mobile-app prototyping, and presentation of completed work. The lead app, Photoshop Touch, brings touch-based tablet interaction to a version of the famed creative and image-editing tool.
Collage, Debut, Ideas, Kuler, Proto
The other apps are Adobe Collage, to combine images into a conceptual mood board; Debut, to present designs to clients; Ideas, a vector-based tool for drawing; Kuler, for generating color themes to inspire design products; and Proto, for developing interactive wire frames and prototypes for websites.
Each app has an introductory price of $9.99, and access to the Adobe Creative Cloud is included in the price.
The Touch Apps are parts of Adobe Creative Cloud, which the company described in a statement as "a worldwide hub for creativity, where millions can access desktop and tablet applications, find essential creative services, and share their best work." Adobe expects that the stylus will become popular in next-generation tablets, and so the interaction is designed to work with stylus as well as touch input.
After creating files with Touch Apps, a user can then share the files, view them from other devices, or use them in Creative Suite, via the Creative Cloud. Some reports have previously indicated Apple could announce support for the ePub 3 e-book publishing format, which allows a wider range of interactive multimedia. The company currently supports the ePub 2 standard for its iBooks, with HTML 5 extensions for some kinds of multimedia. In addition to being limited, the extensions can create compatibility problems with other e-book platforms.
As Apple continues to dominate the tablet category that it virtually invented, there has been speculation for some time whether the company would help to reinvent textbook publishing, since textbooks are heavy, hard to keep updated, and pricey. The iPad is selling well in educational institutions, and is being used for training in businesses.
GarageBand is cited as a model for what some observers are expecting on Thursday, because it is a widely available Mac tool that makes music creation readily accessible to a wide range of users.
Of course, Apple has a long track record of transforming existing content spaces or creating new ones by providing tools and a platform, such as in desktop publishing, music listening and creation, film editing, and smartphone apps.
In addition to e-textbook development and distribution, new tools could also take advantage of the revolution in social networking, creating virtual dorm room study sessions from groups of remote users.

Apple just released iBooks Author, a free software app for Apple computers that offers drag-and-drop self-publishing tools for Apple's iBooks bookstore. The app is available in Apple's App Store for Macintosh computers, where you'll need an operating system at least as current as 2009's Snow Leopard.
