Больше всего мне приглянулось приложение Windows Live Writer – программа позволяющая набирать и форматировать тексты, и публиковать их в блог. Удобный интерфейс, множество инструментов для форматирования, возможность хранить черновики локально, и многое другое – я влюбился. Fans will be able to watch the race live online for the first time during this summer's London Games, but what they'll see is very different from the tape-delayed, prime-time package that will still air a few hours later. NBC executives decided to shift from their longtime philosophy and make every event available as it happens, convinced that the plan will build interest in the Olympics and not siphon off viewership from the traditional nightly broadcasts. That means the Internet streams will be fairly minimalistic, a move aimed at tempting fans to re-watch the competition in a more stylized presentation on the network that evening. "You'll be able to live the moment," said Rick Cordella, the vice president and general manager for NBC Sports Digital. The online coverage will use the world feed instead of NBC camera angles. That's what viewers in many smaller countries see on their local networks, so the production is high quality, if less specialized than Americans are used to for the Olympics. There will be basic graphics and, for some popular sports, announcers from the Olympic Broadcasting Services. Cordella said he didn't know yet which commentators would call high-profile events like track, swimming and gymnastics for the OBS. Microsoft says the Windows Live brand unveiled in 2005 to describe the software giant's set of online services and software will be retired when the company launches its Windows 8 operating system. There will be no separate brand for Microsoft customers to think about or a separate service for them to install, said Windows Live Group Vice President Chris Jones. "It is all included when you turn on your PC for the first time," Jones wrote in a blog post Wednesday. The brand makeover is a requisite component of Microsoft's strategy for enabling its cloud-based services to run seamlessly on next-generation PCs running Windows 8 as well as mobile handsets empowered by the latest version of Windows Phone. "When you connect a device or service to your Microsoft account, you're automatically provisioned with a set of cloud services -- including a contact list, calendar, inbox, instant messaging, and cloud storage," Jones said. In a move to distinguish itself from Facebook, Google+ has officially opened the doors to a new streaming video feature that lets its users publish themselves. Hangouts On Air is ready for the world. The Google+ Hangouts On Air debuted when the social network was in its infancy to a limited audience. Essentially, it makes Google+ Hangouts -- a feature that lets you hold a video chat with up to nine people -- into a live publishing platform. Google+ Hangouts On Air lets you tap into a larger audience -- or view other broadcasters. Put another way, it's a public broadcasting mechanism that taps into some of the technology Google acquired when it purchased YouTube. The YouTube Connection Chee Chew, an engineering director at Google, introduced Google+ Hangouts On Air to the Google Official Blog reading audience in a post that outlined its functions. "Last year we introduced Hangouts On Air to a limited number of broadcasters, enabling them to go live with friends and fans, for all the world to see," he wrote on Monday morning. "Since then, this small community has grown the feature in lots of creative ways. Start-up Sidecar has taken the wraps off a new smartphone app that enables users to share live video and other multimedia content with friends, family members and fellow workers even as they are talking on their phones. Sidecar makes it possible for users to share photos instantly or deliver the entire contents of an album stored on their phones while chatting with the recipient. Interconnected Sidecar users also will be able to simultaneously view other content, such as an interactive street map.
