In what marks more evidence that collaboration and cloud technologies continue gaining momentum in the modern enterprise, Hewlett-Packard has struck a deal with Box to deliver what it is calling an integrated collaboration experience. From a philosophical standpoint, HP and Box are partnering to drive collaboration from the enterprise level all the way down to the individual user for storing and managing content in the cloud. From a practical standpoint, the partnership brings the Box cloud content management and collaboration platform to HP's enterprise PCs and other devices. Specifically, customers who purchase select HP Compaq Elite and HP Compaq Pro business desktops can tap into special offers from Box, including more storage capacity and enterprise sync for enhanced collaboration and content management in the cloud. Привет! Сегодня мы покажем, насколько легко встроить физический движок Box2D в любое игровое приложение, написанное на стандартных фреймворках Apple. Примером послужит интерактивная книга, выпущенная нашей студией полгода назад. Эта книга была нашим первым приложением для детей, и когда мы начинали работу над ней, у нас было мало опыта в создании анимаций, поэтому мы выбрали знакомые нам мощные и отлично документированные стандартные фреймворки Apple – так было проще на тот момент. Книга была готова уже через два месяца. Однако, некоторые задумки реализованы не были. Из этих пожеланий был оставлен список на будущее, чтобы, когда будет время и знания, вернуться к проекту. Физика Одним из пунктов была симуляция физического мира, чтобы у пользователя была возможность играть с предметами: создавать их, бросать, перекидывать из угла в угол средствами акселерометра и так далее. And consider how appealing it might be for the entire family to congregate in front of a camera to show off the newborn to out-of-town relatives, rather than having everyone try to crowd in front of a PC's webcam. Enter Silicon Valley newcomer Tely Labs. With its compact TelyHD Skype-compatible set-top box that recently went on sale, the company believes it can succeed where others have failed. Inside the nearly a foot-long black box is a wide-angle high-definition camera, four noise-canceling microphones, a pretty powerful dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, and Android software. In other words, it has the guts of a computer, which suggests some interesting possibilities down the road. For now, though, this is mostly about video calling via Skype. In my tests, TelyHD delivered generally acceptable but uneven video quality, even after I swapped one test unit for another. There's a new cloud specifically for enterprise users of mobile devices. On Wednesday, Box introduced its Box OneCloud, intended to unify the use of business information among various apps and devices. OneCloud provides a suite of more than 30 productivity apps, enabling content to be accessed, edited and shared securely from smartphones and tablets. CEO and co-founder Aaron Levie said in a statement that today's worker has to deal with "thousands of mobile applications storing data in a variety of information silos," while OneCloud "unifies your business applications" in the post-PC era. Integrated Workflow OneCloud initially targets Apple's iOS devices, but will soon move to Android as well. Box noted that, according to industry research firm Forrester, about one-third of devices in businesses do not use the Microsoft platform. Forrester also predicted that Windows-based devices will drop below 50 percent within four years. The applications within OneCloud are integrated to some degree, such as ones from the company's key integration partners -- Quickoffice, Adobe EchoSign, Nuance PaperPort Notes and PDF Expert. These four have a "round-trip workflow," where content updates from each app are immediately stored in the Box cloud, with integrated functions between these apps to provide advanced document editing, secure e-signature, digital note taking, and PDF annotation. Following the launch of Google Drive on Tuesday and expanded offerings on Microsoft's SkyDrive on Monday, business-cloud platform and storage provider Box is releasing version 2 of its platform API, and unveiling new application and technology partners. Fifteen more companies are now application partners for Box's OneCloud, and two entrepreneur support centers in New York City, General Assembly and TechStars, are joining up as well. Box has more than 10 million individual users worldwide, plus more than 120,000 businesses -- including 82 percent of the Fortune 500. 'A Radical Shift' Box is emphasizing that it is focused on enterprises, while the new Google Drive is oriented toward consumers. Its OneCloud provides a suite of productivity apps, enabling content to be accessed, edited and shared securely from smartphones, tablets and other devices. Box CEO Aaron Levie said in a statement that "the enterprise technology landscape is experiencing a radical shift toward universal, mobile information access and content sharing." With cloud services moving quickly, veteran service Dropbox has unveiled several updates. The enhancements come on the heels of announcements in recent days about the launch of Google Drive, a new API for Box.com, and a new version of Microsoft's SkyDrive. Dropbox is adding the ability for its users to share files with even non-Dropboxers, via a link. It is also unveiling Dropbox 1.40 for Windows, Mac, and Linux, which allows files to be batch-transferred. Additional 3 GB With 1.40, users can also simply connect a phone, camera, tablets, or SD card, and Dropbox will automatically offer to upload all of the photos and videos to the Dropbox account. Uploaded images can be seen as thumbnails and displayed by month, in a Dropbox Photos page. These uploading features had previously been available only for Android devices, and are now available for computers. To encourage usage, Dropbox will increase the user's free storage limit of 2GB by 500MB each time auto-uploading is used, up to an additional 3 GB. The additional storage is only available for camera uploads, but is available permanently. This total of 5 GB parallels the free storage allowed on the newly announced Google Drive service, as well as the amounts available on Box.com and Sugar Sync. Так вот, все началось с того, что проект syncany.org умер не родившись, ну или по крайней мере, судя по активности, разродится еще не скоро. Так как сил ждать больше не было, то решил я воспользоваться уже существующими и работающими методами для организации удаленного облачного файлохранилища (в дальнейшем УФХ) с открытым клиентом, а также с шифрацией на стороне клиента.
